Behavioral Health Services
The Behavioral Health Services mission is to improve the quality of life for the people of Lake County experiencing mental illness or substance use disorder by offering recovery-oriented services.
- Community Peer Support Centers
Peer Support Recovery Centers currently operate five peer support centers throughout Lake County.
- Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
Lake County Behavioral Health Services DUI programs are currently accepting new clients for Remote Client Services. This program is approved by and meets all requirements of the California Department of Health Care Services and the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Mental Health Services
Learn about several mental health services you can engage in.
- Patients' Rights Advocate
The SmithWaters Group provides support and advocacy to clients in Lake County regarding mental services, education, access, and participation, as well as complaint resolution services.
- Substance Use Disorder Services (SUDS)
Lake County Behavioral Health Services provides services for individuals in crisis, for youth, for adults, and for alcohol and drug treatment. Services are provided in Clearlake and Lucerne and can be accessed through many of our partnering agencies and organizations.
- CARE Act
The Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act is a new civil court process. It provides community-based mental health services to adults with untreated schizophrenia spectrum or other psychotic disorders. The CARE process connects eligible people with services to support their recovery, which may include treatment, housing, and community support.
