We’re searching for a Public Works Director who brings both expertise and heart to the job—someone who’s ready to guide a talented team, oversee major infrastructure projects, and play a key role in the future of our beautiful county.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.

• At least five (5) years of full-time, increasingly responsible engineering experience in public works, with three (3) years in management or supervision.

• A valid California registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.).

• A valid California Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one.

• Experience in government purchasing, contract procurement, construction bidding, contract administration, or planning is a plus.

Additional directly related education and/or experience may be considered in place of the listed requirements.

This position qualifies for a Sign-On incentive of 10% of the annual rate, not to exceed $10,000.
